Thursday, July 26, 2001Well, well. Miss Chris should be home soon. I wonder if she ever made it to Salem?Did you know that there is a Salem Witch Museum? It's an impressive looking building, by the way. It's odd, but though 100's were accused of the crime of witch craft, it looks as if only 20 folks were executed - 19 of those by hanging and one by being "pressed to death". Seventten folks died in prison. Want to know more? Read the FAQ.... Hmmmmm....the history surrounding the events is really quite facinating. Feel free to check out more...
Monday, July 23, 2001I wish it would rain here. We could use a break from the heat. 96 today, and 99 yesterday. Will it ever end? Here is Missouri, for those of you who don't know. We just moved here two weeks ago, and so far it has been hotter than a firecracker!posted by TinaH on 11:34 PM | go ahead - link me!
Today... it rained sideways. Isn't nature beautiful?
Sunday, July 22, 2001Strangest place I've ever met a Trixie Person: at the Adventurer's Club in Pleasure Island. I was sitting there last night waiting for the show to begin when one of the white-tuxedoed doormen asked who "Trixie Belden" was; I was wearing my Convention 2000 t-shirt. So I explained it was a series of books written in the 50s. Then a woman sitting in the table in front of me turned and said, "I used to read Trixie Belden!" stunning! I said, yeah - there's a whole bunch of us from all over the world and yeah, we had a convention last year and... She interupted to say, "Well, it wasn't like I read it, I just remember reading some of them." And then she turned away.Translation: The woman with the Convention t-shirt is a mutant freak and should be avoided at all costs! Ah, me... it is to laugh!
It's a rainy night in Tampa... it's a rainy night in Tampa.... sometimes, it feels like it's raining all over the world...
