The book sale yesterday gave me a HUGE FIND of Cherry Ames books which I am trying to collect. I managed to snag #s 5,6,7,8,9,12,13,15,17,18,22,25 and maybe one other one that is escaping me. I also got about 12-15 other books for the whopping price of $22.00. And I have seen most of the Cherry books start at about 3.00 with the higher numbers going for about 30 on average. I would say that I found a deal!!! Sadly, no Trixies but I do keep my eyes out in case I find one. I will pick it up, and mention it on the boards.
My DUI class last night went very well. I was tired, but this group was very responsive and I believe that most of them learned something in class. Today, I drove out to finish up the paperwork for the class, and tonight Keith and I are going to look at Jeep Libertys....which is his car choice as of this moment. I keep telling him we don't need to rush into a decision, but its his car so I hate to be the negative one. However, I know how he thinks.....and believe me, when it comes to cars he needs me to slow him down and think about his choice/purchase.
I do have a few more things to blog about so I will catch y'all later.

It is rather late to begin blogging, but I had to make sure I updated more often since I will be gone again next week. I managed to get to both jobs today. I checked in at school, chatted with the powers that be (not shana or chris but our principal)....and got permission to order new psych books for my class. This may not seem like a big deal, but to those of us in Catholic schools, we know how rare it is to get new books within 5 years. BUT, 36 kids have signed up for the class in 2 sections, so I am needing more than I have, and of course there is a new edition.

Group tonight was a new one. And it sucked. I have an angry middle aged man who drinks too much questioning everything I say and do....which I have been doing for over 11 years. So, I try to move on, and he keeps at it. Finally, I go after him with questions that he doesn't want to answer, and he tells me I am on a power trip. In the end, I would say that he knew he was beaten when it all came down to one thing: Were you or were you not drinking before the arrest....if so, it is a DUI. Can't really argue that one no matter what else he tries to put in front of me to distort thinking.

Now, I do drink alcohol on occasion, and have even had too much at various times. But I have been very strict when driving.....none. Years ago, when I was a freshman in college, a friend was killed by an intoxicated driver. He ran a red light and hit Bryan head on....it was early evening, and the man served 6 months in jail. It made me aware from a very young age about dangers with drinking. And has alot to do with why I stick with this job even with the negative feedback I may get. If even one person hears what I say and thinks about his or her drinking, then I did my job.

NO updates on my guest blogs today. I think tomorrow when I return from my treasure hunt at the bookstore, I will find time to jot a few more things down. At this moment, I have cramps and need to sleep. I will also update you on my search and seize for books!!! G'night all.

Hello....I have arrived safely home after a two plane trip with a delay in DC/Dulles airport. Keith was right on time, and we got home with no problems....cuddled, talked and ate dinner. He is off at work right now so I thought it would be a good time to check back into blogger world. I see I had a guest blogger in the few days I was gone, and that she has checked out the wedding pics. (and you can too, but you need to email me for the link.....***so do it already!!!***) I wonder if my wonderful blogger fairy knows that I am leaving town again on the 18th of July....hmmmm...not time to break that to her yet since Tina and Shana are still away.

Camp was fun....and I do have comments for that but since I am guest blogging at Shana's, you have to go there to find out my thoughts. But don't count on seeing them all tonight.....I need to fill a few days worth of babble with them!!

My class on "Teaching Psychology in High School" which was every morning this week from 9:00 to 11:50 am, was cancelled. And while I need the credit for the Act 48 certification process, I am relieved to know I will have some free time. Tomorrow morning I plan to grocery shop, do laundry, and catch up on my house stuff like paying bills. Tuesday I will work, and Wednesday I will head out to the People's library book sale. It is wonderful.....80 cents a pound of books and special ones are special priced. But you never know what gems you will find. Last year, I grabbed a copy of All of A Kind Family Uptown as part of a pound and I have seen it sell on ebay for over 20.00 for paperback. So I plan on being there at 10 when all the crazies are out. Looking for any particular books....let me know and I will keep my eyes out and use my quick hands to add it to my pile.

OK, time for a quick blog here and there.....more tomorrow. And as Shana so nicely told me, I have not finished my wedding blogs, so I will be returning to that subject soon. Keep watching!
