and i thought of two more i wanted to share
...that i cried when my youngest brother was born (i was 7) because i so desperately wanted a sister.
...that i am a guidance counselor at the same Catholic high school I attended, and work alongside some of the same teachers i had almost 20 years ago.

i have much more to say to all of you, but will have to wait. it is after midnight here, and i need at least 6 hours of sleep to function (i hate, abhor, detest having to get up to an alarm clock, but if i wait until i wake up---it would be 8 or 9 am and i would be late for work!!!)

did you know?
....that i have naturally curly hair that at least one person a month envies or wishes for themselves....and what is more interesting is that i used to hate it because straight hair was in....and now i love it because it is EASY TO TAKE CARE OF!!!
...that i get my nails done each week because i need to take care of myself in this crazy world?
...that i have a shamrock tattoo on my upper left thigh (the size of a half-dollar piece)
...that i read over 70 books in one summer (1999)?
....that i have a strong fascination with vampires?
....that i drive a red dodge neon which is only 11 months old?
....went on a dating frenzy about 3 years ago and met over 15 guys through personals, blind dates, and dating services?....then i quit looking and keith found me
....that i collect magnets for my refrigerator and have gotten one from places i've been and from friends all over the country?
....that i had breast reduction surgery in 1998? (and while this may be too much information, it is obvious when you see past pics of me since i was over a 46DD
....that i am bubble gum addict who is trying to recover by never buying (ok, ok, rarely buying) bubble gum?
....that i live for country music (and i know who wade hayes is karen and kyrie!!) and due to this, my best friends are making a list of music for the wedding so i won't be playing ALL COUNTRY ALL NIGHT!!!

you may ask why i did this, and there is a reason. when we take the kids on a retreat, we usually try to do something like this to "stump" them on getting to know each other. some of the answers are way cool, and things i would never have known about them. it is a fun way to get to know people....

why do i blog? i have always kept a journal off and on, but never followed through with it. i liked adding my rants, my thoughts that flew from one thing to another, and the songs that swirled around in my brain....(hence the name, shamrock songs)
i like being able to find a place where i can just write, and think, and put my day in perspective...it helps to balance all the things in my brain at times---work, family, fiance, wedding, organization, responsiblities, etc. it also helps me keep in touch since emailing often is hard.
and why do i read is easier to answer....i like catching up on my friend's lives, and i have learned so much about the trixie pals in the past few months. i plan on letting other friends know my blog address so they can keep up with life as i know it, and i have a friend with 3 small ones who i know might enjoy the idea herself. i have been to explore a few other blogs and have started reading them on regular basis too. there is alot to read out there, and i would rather get to know some of these cool, independent and warm people than read some of the "trash" you can find online or in the papers/media.

i have been on a blogging feast reading about all of my friend's lives, but i don't have the time or the ability to link as i want right now (being paid to do this at work). however, i wanted to post since it has been a while since i have been here.

yesterday, i was going to blog in the pm at work, but found out i was going to get a new printer and would have to move my computer/printer away from the radiator since we think the over heating in this school damaged the drum. so i purged, moved, cleaned, and re-organized my office which you need to know is about 6 x 12....and has wooden shelves lining both walls---it used to be a closet...anyway, then i started a new intervention group for DUI clients last night, and it took much of my leftover energy. went home, watched the premiere of the road rules/real world challenge on mtv and went to bed.....now, keith says i am too old to watch this show, however, i enjoy seeing the conflicts, and the wacky things they have to do. i am not an over-adventurous person----meaning no bungee jumping or skydiving for me---so i tend to like seeing others do this stuff....
and i say you are never too old....
i really need to go. the desk is still covered in "stuff" and if i stay on any longer, i will begin to comment to all of you about your lives. will be on later today....
