Whhheeee!!! Feeling much better today after a really crappy Friday. Called the urologist to make sure I was not in need of emergency care due to blood, but said that meds take more than 2 days to help, and it sounds like a bad case of inflamed bladder. Anyway, I am happy to be feeling better today.

I, too am done with school as of Friday!! And ready to finish Christmas shopping today while Keith watches the Pittsburgh Steelers play their last game in Three Rivers Stadium. Also, we had Krispy Kreme donuts in S. Carolina this summer, and all Keith can talk about is how we need one here, and we should buy a franchise. Yeah, honey whatever you say.

How awful. I feel for the young woman and her family, and your boss. Sending good thoughts their way.

She wants her own blog!!I guess we will all have to have links to that one. I think it would be interesting to hear her views on life and family, don't you?

Wish you had better parents to work with at your daughter's school. We have some really pain in the butt ones at our school, too, but they tend to be the ones who do not get involved. Some of them are worth every minute I spend with their child or them. For example, my parent chaperones cancelled FRIDAY---and the dance is Saturday. Well, one of my seniors said, "Sure, my Mom and Dad will do it." And I am sure they could have found better things to do with their Sunday night. Thanks to them, though, I will not be a basket-case worrying about everything because they have helped so many times they know the routine.

Well, leaving for now to shower, shop, and later decorate the tree. More to chat about at a later time.....

For those who may notice time on posts, it is 6:46 am here in Pittsburgh, and while for some of you it is not unusual to be up this early, and on line, for me it is. I usually get up around 7 am---I am not a MORNING PERSON!! However, this morning, due to not enough water last night, I am having symptoms of my UTI again. After drinking much water, I feel better, but cannot go back to sleep since I need to get my shower, so I thought I would post a few morning things.

Tina, of course I dance in public. Music is what motivates me so much of the time. Shamrock Songs is a title because I have so many songs that play to my heart and soul that I could not pick one, so I would little by little add them all. My roommate in college said it best when she said "Life is a dance, and music is the beating of our heart."

Last night I attended a Christmas party and had a fun time. We have a "secret pal" for the entire year of our meetings (June through April) and I got the coolest snowman screen that is about 2 feet high. It is one of the 3 piece hinged wooden screen that you can put up on porches (where I think I might) or inside the house too. I love it. We had a good time, and it was nice to catch up with this group of women. I really enjoy the company of most of them. 3 of them are my closest friends around here, and also will be in my wedding.

OOPS!! Somehow time is flying by and I need to get moving. More later today. Feeling rather chatty for some reason!!! Bye

Bethno snow yet, and it is already 9 pm. I thought it was supposed to hit here by 4. Of course, they are saying there is ice in the city of Pittsburgh, and I live a bit north east of the city.

Got a new med to try for the infection that the doctor thinks is cleared up although I still have blood in the urine. Also have an appointment to see a urologist next week. Will wait and see what happens. The drug has some side effects so will be watching, but I really want to feel better. Today has been the best day in a few.

Got haircut. Not short, just trimmed and added my layers back so it would curl more. No appointment planned until April when I high-light so it looks ok for the wedding.

Am beat from running all day. After doctor and hair appt., Keith and I went to buy new gas stove and TV. We had a new electric on in March but we need gas, so we sold the other to friends. Good deal for them, sucks for us having to get a new one. However, the model I decided I wanted was on "clearance mode" so we saved almost 100 dollars. Cool!!

Have so much to do. But time is limited until the weekend since I have a Christmas party tomorrow night for Junior Woman's Club (I know, I know---I still need to discuss that too.) Hope that next week I feel more ambitious to do stuff.
Later--

WINTER STORM WARNING for us. It is supposed to snow later today turning to freezing rain, and then an ICE storm. No school tomorrow? Or at least a time to sleep in....maybe but I am the biggest doubter when it comes to weather so I don't get my hopes up. However, seeing that my friends in Texas have been hit, who knows what is coming. DEB glad to hear you are safely at work!!

And for those who are following the saga of my kidney/bladder infection--I am going back today to the Doctor's because I still feel like I have to pee all the time, and see some blood. I hope its not too much to ask to be well by Christmas.

It appears I have archives, but I have not done anything to have them. Is there a archive fairy who is doing this for me, or am I losing my mind. If there is a fairy----THANK YOU!!! I know who you are and I appreciate all of your help more than you know.

Am hoping the storm holds off until after 5 pm since I have a haircut appointment and the drive is about 30 minutes and I want to get home before it hits. If you are wondering..."why would she travel that far to get her hair cut?" As I explained to my sweet fiance one day---when you find someone who does your hair the way you want and like, you keep her if you can. And since my Mom would wait until she was in PA to get her hair cut for at least a year (she is in CT until next year), I figure 30-40 minutes is not too bad. Do you women understand the importance of trusting
someone with your hair? Men surely don't.

Enough babbling. I still want to do an introduction of myself for those who are visiting. Maybe this weekend. Back to work.

Here I go again. I had something all typed out, and my computer froze. It must be as cold as it is here. But what is with this weather? Snow and ice, and freezing temps in Texas? Sounds awful...or it sounds just like weather here in western PA. We had really high winds last night, and at about 2:30 am, I thought my apartment (2nd floor) was going to blow off.

Just finished the Christmas semi formal count. We have 191 people and only 17 are adults which also includes the DJ. Anyone want to help chaperone? C'mon Karen, you know 6th graders are just like high school students.

Keith and I had a fun time at the dance. It was more of gambling at the Monte Carlo blackjack table where we won tickets for prizes (which we didn't win). But it makes me realize I am happy we are not going to a place with gambling for our honeymoon.

Yes, we decided on a place. We are going to Moon Palace in Cancun. My brother and his wife have been there and loved it. I also began an email campaign to ask people who had posted on message boards what they thought and have gotten the good and bad points so we are prepared.

I want to have clicks to my wedding stuff---but I need to get back to work now, so that will have to wait until later. (Along with archiving---need to read Deb's directions again)
Also, want to comment on other's blogs but until then...Tina, sending cheery thoughts your way, and Misty...hang in there...almost vacation time!! To everyone else....hello! I read most of the blogs but need to get my thoughts together to respond to a few things...Bye for now!!
